Sinay is a French start-up founded in 2008 by experts in marine environment and biodiversity, specialized in the design of artificial intelligence digital solutions for the analysis, monitoring and prediction of complex maritime data in the fields of sustainability and maritime transport.
Its multifunctional platform in the cloud “Sinay Hub”, based on advanced data analytics, has different services for reducing the environmental impact of maritime activity or improving the efficiency of port business such as: monitoring of air and water quality, mapping of underwater and environmental acoustics, optimization of transport routes and prediction of ETAs and fuel consumption, or the management of fleets of vessels, among others.
The APBA is collaborating with Sinay promoting the pilot project “Underwater noise monitoring system and cetacean tracking system“, whose objective is the adoption of a solution for the active monitoring of underwater noise and cetacean populations, in the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar, in order to obtain indicators and metrics of the risk and impact of port and maritime activity in the marine environment.
