Navozyme’s an award-winning technology scaleup on a mission to accelerate the digitalisation and decarbonisation of the global maritime industry. Commended for its pioneering work by prestigious organisations like the IMO, Navozyme applies Blockchain and AI, to reduce complexity and friction for critical maritime processes. Navozyme’s solutions facilitate real-time interchange of authentic data amongst various actors enabling decarbonization, higher productivity, enhanced compliance & cybersecurity. Beneficiaries include Port Authorities, Shipowners, Agents, MARPOL Operators, Bunker suppliers, Vessel Masters, Maritime Training Institutions, amongst others.
The APBA is collaborating with Navozyme within the framework of the project “Just in Time Bunkering Operations” whose objective is to develop an innovative solution to optimize bunkering operations at anchorage. In particular, it is developing a mathematical optimization model together with algorithms based on ML/AI techniques that will allow suggesting a time window of arrival to vessels calling at anchorage. The objective is to reduce waiting times and, therefore, unnecessary fuel consumption. As a result, GHG emissions in the vicinity of the port will be reduced. To this end, the Port Authority has provided historical data on fuel refueling operations to train the algorithms and validate the optimization models.
